Atlas Hanı

Located in the village of Hüyükburun in Karaman's Ayrancı district, on a flat plain right beside the railway line, this han is known as Atlas Han (or Ayrancı Han). Compactly built with a central courtyard surrounded by arcaded sections, it has survived in relatively good condition. Spolia (reused) stones and lime mortar were used in its construction, though over time some stones were removed by treasure hunters. Locals tell a legend that the building was commissioned by an old woman; today it is used by villagers as a sheep pen.
