Editor's Note
According to the Persian inscription above the doors leading into the prayer hall, it was built in AH 981-982 / AD 1573-1574 by Hacı Muhammet bin Hacı Ali Şefkat bin Kılıç and Bozkoyunlu Şefkat bin Kılıç. The inscription over the central door leading into the prayer hall shows that the building was repaired in AH 1314 / AD 1896 by Selim, son of Mısrî Hoca. During the Republican period, between 1950 and 1955, the roof was opened up and recovered with reinforced concrete. The mosque is open for worship today. INSCRIPTIONS: 1) Above the door is an inscription written in Persian in celi sülüs script.
