Set in the garden of the Little Hagia Sophia, this tomb represents one of the oldest historical layers of the Fatih district. Dating back to the 6th century, the structure carries echoes of the magnificent architecture of the Byzantine period to the present day. Its stone walls, heavy with the patina of centuries, hold a quiet melancholy in their shadow. The pattern of stones laid one upon another bears traces of various repairs across past eras. This is not merely a tomb; it is also a tangible marker of the cultural memory of the transition from Byzantine to Ottoman times.
