Cennet künkü

Where it belongs

Cennet künkü is a syrup-soaked dessert from Ottoman cuisine. In traditional Bursa custom it is made by the bride's family during wedding preparations and sent to the groom's house, tucked into the engagement bundle. Wrapping the wafers around a rolling pin and pinching both ends gives it the pipe-like shape its name refers to.
