International Manisa Mesir Paste Festival
When to go - Every year in Nevruz week (21-24 March); recorded in the Ministry's intangible heritage registry and on UNESCO's Representative List since 2012.
A roughly 400-year-old tradition in which mesir paste made from 41 spices is scattered to the crowd from the domes and minarets of Sultan Mosque.
