Among the peaceful streets of Fatih, in the courtyard of Rüstem Paşa Mosque, a masterpiece of our ancestors' architecture stands quietly: the Rüstem Paşa Fountain. Coming from the skilled hand of the architect Sinan, this structure carries the perfection of 16th-century Ottoman art into our day. Beneath its dome adorned with deep blue and turquoise İznik tiles, the gentle rippling of water accompanied the ablutions of worshippers for centuries.
