The fountain of Nusretiye Mosque is the beating heart of this 19th-century structure, the iconic monument of Tophane. Its geometric patterns and marble craftsmanship reflect the character of the reform era, marked by European influence. An interesting detail: thanks to its acoustic design, the water flowing beneath the fountain's octagonal dome echoes through the mosque courtyard. This 200-year-old stone monument remains one of the most important cultural symbols of Beyoğlu.
