Norşuntepe is a tell, or archaeological settlement mound, in Elazığ Province about 26 km southeast of the provincial center. It was occupied from the Chalcolithic through the Iron Age. Lying within the reservoir of the Keban Dam, it has been partially submerged and eroded by Lake Keban since the dam was completed in 1975; before the waters rose it stood about 35 metres high. It was excavated between 1968 and 1974 and declared a protected site in 2022.
