Story

Located in the inland part of Kemer, Dolu Su Park is a tranquil tourist spot that bears traces of the ancient Lycian civilization. The nearby ancient city of Phaselis has a rich past as one of the most important trade centers of the Mediterranean. The park is surrounded by natural springs and dense pine forests, and amid the greenery you can discover ancient ruins and architectural remains. Phaselis's three harbors were strategically designed so that they could be open to commercial activity all at once, a sign of advanced development in seafaring and trade. The region retained its strategic importance from the passage of Alexander the Great through to the Ottoman era. Visitor tip: come in the early morning to drink local tea in the shade of the ancient ruins; after 5 p.m. it is less crowded, and the light is ideal for photography.
