Story

Bomontiada is the site where the Bomonti Brewery, representing Şişli's deep-rooted industrial heritage, has been revived as a center for art and design. Founded in the 1890s, this brewery was one of the most technologically advanced facilities in Ottoman-era Istanbul. The original buildings, constructed of red brick and stone, offer striking examples of the period's industrial architecture. Today Bomontiada is home to art galleries, design studios, workshops and cafes, and the site has become a meeting point for culture and creativity. A notable detail: Bomonti beer was the drink of choice for Ottoman statesmen and European embassies. During restoration, the original character of the building was carefully preserved and adapted for contemporary use.
