Editor's Note
Ariaramneia was a city in ancient Cappadocia. Attested by an inscription in Greek and Aramaic, it was the residence of a military leader in the 2nd century BC, during the Kingdom of Cappadocia. According to the Iranologist Alireza Shapour Shahbazi, the city was in all likelihood named after and founded by Ariaramnes, the father of King Ariarathes II of Cappadocia.
