Lystra (Kilistra) was a city in central Anatolia, mentioned six times in the New Testament. It was visited several times by the Apostle Paul, with Barnabas or Silas, and it was there that Paul met his young disciple Timothy. Ancient authors variously placed it in Lycaonia, Isauria, or Galatia.
