Leucae (Leuce) was a small town of ancient Ionia, near Phocaea. According to Pliny it stood on a former-island promontory, and according to Scylax it was a place with harbours. The Persian admiral Tachos is said to have founded the town on a coastal eminence in 352 BCE, and in 131 BCE it was the site of the battle between the consul Publius Licinius Crassus and Aristonicus. The site of ancient Leucae is at Üçtepeler in İzmir Province, some distance from the coast.
