Editor's Note
Zeugma was an ancient Hellenistic and later Roman city of Commagene, located in the village of Belkıs in the Nizip district of Gaziantep Province. It was named for the bridge of boats (zeugma) that crossed the Euphrates there, and its mosaics are displayed in the Zeugma Mosaic Museum, one of the largest mosaic museums in the world.
