Editor's Note
Sarissa, known today as the Kuşaklı site, was one of the important settlements and major cities of the Hittites. Excavations have uncovered a large temple, a twin-bull rhyton, and various tablets. The city is mentioned in the text of the Treaty of Kadesh (1285 BC) in the phrase "the Storm God of Sarissa."
