Editor's Note
The Beykoz Glass and Crystal Museum, in the Beykoz district of Istanbul, is a glass and crystal museum run by the National Palaces Administration. It takes its name from the Beykoz Glass and Crystal Factory founded under Abdülmecid as part of the Ottoman Empire's 19th-century industrialisation and regarded as a cornerstone of Turkish glassmaking. Housed in a 19th-century building that Abraham Pasha built as a stable, the restored museum opened on 9 April 2021 and displays Turkish glass art alongside pieces made in Europe for the imperial palaces.
