This ethnography museum, founded in Isparta by Prof. Dr. Turan Yazgan, is a cultural treasure that preserves the rich cultural fabric of the Lakes Region and passes it on to future generations. From hilltop houses to walls adorned with photographs, and boxes hidden away in attics, the traces of Isparta's traditional way of life have been chosen with a careful eye. A broad collection ranging from the old looms used by carpet-weaving masters and local clothing to the furniture and kitchen utensils used in homes tells the story of the region's cultural wealth. Among the most striking items on display are the garments of Isparta's village women, adorned with 19th-century embroidery, and the geometric designs reflected in carpet motifs. These textiles carry not only aesthetic value but a wealth of information, from dietary patterns to social hierarchy. The blacksmith's and carpenter's hand tools in the museum attest to the region's advanced craftsmanship.
