A museum on Büyükada in Istanbul's Princes' Islands district. Opened on 10 September 2010 with the support of the Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture Agency, it is known as Istanbul's first contemporary city museum. Housed in a renovated former helicopter hangar in the Aya Nikola area, the island's oldest settlement, it presents the history of the Princes' Islands through Ottoman archival documents, photographs, documentaries and oral-history recordings.
