Editor's Note
The Gaziantep Museum of Archaeology displays historical finds from the city and its surroundings. For some years it housed mosaics excavated from the ancient Roman city of Zeugma, which are now kept in the separate Zeugma Mosaic Museum. Its collection includes Paleolithic artefacts, Bronze Age necropolis finds, Hittite, Persian, Roman, Hellenistic and Commagene works, and the skeleton of a mammoth.
