Editor's Note
The Cyprus Monument stands in Yaşam Vadisi Park in the Beylikdüzü district of Istanbul. Built by sculptor Azmi Sekban and opened on 7 July 2017, it depicts Turkish soldiers of the Cyprus intervention, with Rauf Denktaş, founder and first President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, in the centre, and the 1959 London and Zürich Agreements on the right.
