It became known as the Domed Mosque (Kümbetli Cami) because of the Tomb of Çerkes İsa Bey beside it. The mosque's inscription has not survived. An inscription written in Latin letters in the entrance porch records that it was repaired in AH 1152 (1739–1740). An Ottoman Turkish inscription next to it bears only the date AH 981 (1573–1574). Based on these, it is thought that the mosque was built in AH 981 (1573–1574) and underwent repairs at the later date. The mosque has a rectangular plan built of cut and rubble stone, and its prayer hall is divided into three naves by five wooden columns each.
