The lodge stands on the slopes to the right of the İstavroz Stream, which begins at the Sarıkaya locality on the western foothills of Büyükçamlıca's Sefatepesi and flows into the sea beside the Beylerbeyi Palace. At Sarıkaya, if one enters Nur Baba Street, which opens onto Kısıklı Avenue, and walks 430 paces, one reaches the head of Çamlıca Deresi Street. About 190 paces beyond this junction lies the cemetery enclosure remaining from the Tahir Baba Bektashi Lodge. This street is now called Cami Street. Many apartment buildings have been erected on the site of the lodge and its outbuildings, which once commanded a magnificent view toward the Bosphorus.
