Editor's Note
In his book titled Beylerbeyi, Mehmet Rebii Hatemi Baraz describes a well found here as follows: Toward the middle of the avenue, one sees a wellhead with a marble rim and an iron cover. Its inscription on the rim reads: "(In the name of healing) This is the charitable endowment of El-Hac Ahmet Süreyya Bey el-Kadiri and his esteemed wife Şerife Hatice Atiyetullah Hanım, of the Kadiri order (25 April 1320 R. / 1902 A.D.)."
