Editor's Note
It lies in a valley between Acıbadem Avenue and Koşuyolu Avenue, in a spot known as Çifte Cevizler (The Twin Walnuts). The İbrahimağa Stream runs in front of the mosque, and the Çifte Cevizler picnic grounds lie on its qibla side. Here stands an undated fountain remembered as the Kalfa Fountain. The mosque is of the elevated type; its lower floor was once a primary school and later converted into a residence for the imam, while the original wooden mosque was rebuilt in masonry in 1975. In this restoration, the projecting mihrab section that had rested on two wooden columns was removed and turned into a niche.
