Editor's Note
The bathhouse was built in the year 1282 (1865–66) by Marshal İsmail Zühtü Paşa, a member of the Senate, at the same time as the mosque and the market. After the First World War, as the neighbourhood grew quiet, the bathhouse was abandoned and soon fell into ruin. Source: Üsküdar Through the Centuries, Mehmet Nermi Haskan, p. 961
