Editor's Note
The school stands where Gümüş Yol meets Baba Nakkaş Street. It is newly marked on sheet 26 of the 1934 Istanbul City Guide and on Pervititch's Üsküdar Insurance Map. In the vicinity of the school are the Mahbub Ağa Fountain, built in the same period, the Emine Sultan Palace (now passed to the Koç Foundation), and, a little further on, the mansions of Prince Abdülmecit and Ömer Hilmi Efendi. Just behind it stood the Nakkaştepe Mounted Police Station.
