Editor's Note
This idle bathhouse was built in 1875 by a man named Abdi Bey. Because it lies within the railway line, it cannot be seen up close. Some sections were demolished by road works, and the remaining parts have been left buried underground. Only two main spaces survive today. The first is a warm room (ılıklık) consisting of three sections, and the other is a domed hot room (sıcaklık). Since the large space in the first section connects directly to the hot room it is likely the warm room, while the other two units were probably a toilet or a shaving room.
