Hikmet Bey’in Evi

This was the house belonging to Nâzım Hikmet's father, Hikmet Bey, where the poet lived after his second return from the Soviet Union in 1928 until his father's death in March 1932. It stood at No. 16 Nevzemin Street. Although it was not under architectural protection, it holds an important place in Kadıköy's history as cultural heritage. As part of urban renewal against earthquake risk, it was demolished in 2022 and a new apartment building was constructed in its place.
