Editor's Note
It opened in 1906 as the St. Louis Primary School, affiliated with the St. Joseph French Lycée in Moda. In 1950 it was converted into an orphanage, in 1970 into a Home for Orphan Girls, and from the 1990s it was used as a shelter for street children. With its Art Nouveau ornamentation, doors, and windows, the magnificent building now stands empty.
