Röntgen Apartmanı

This is the apartment building designed by the architect Zeki Sayar in 1933 for the Doktor Gören family. For many years the lower floors served as a medical practice and the upper floors as residences. The modern-lined building is today used entirely by a coffee chain. The poet and writer Celâl Sahir Erozan lived in his apartment in this building and died there in 1935. Ahmet Hamdi Altıok, a member of parliament for Bozok in the Second Term and for Yozgat in the Third and Fourth Terms of the Grand National Assembly, died on 25 December 1933 in his home in the Röntgen apartment building on Bahariye Avenue.
