Editor's Note

The work that ceramic artist Füreya Koral, granddaughter of Şakir Pasha, made in ceramic for the headstone of the writer Azra Erhat is in this cemetery. The transcription of the headstones was made on 9 April 2026 by Mr. Furkan Yiğit Gürkeyik. Headstone of Es-Seyyid Muhammed Said Efendi: "What an excellent intercessor is the Qur'an. For the soul of the late and forgiven Es-Seyyid Muhammed Said Efendi, imam of the Sultantepe Mosque, and of all the people of faith, for the sake of God Almighty, the Fatiha. Year 1231, 30?"
