Editor's Note
Date of construction: AH 1126 / AD 1811-1812. The Miskinler Lodge fell into ruin after a fire and then gradually disappeared, leaving behind only the fountain built by the sultan's treasury deputy Hafız İsa Ağa during repairs in the reign of Mahmud II. The fountain's inscription is still in place, while the inscription recording its repair is in the storage of the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts.
