Toygar Tepe Tekkesi

Editor's Note

It stood in Toygartepe, between Himmet Baba Street and Şair Ruhi Street. Entering Himmet Baba Street from Hatmi Street, it was a little further along on the right-hand side. Today only its plot and two graves remain. The two-storey wooden building, already in a very ruined state, was abandoned in the 1970s and demolished a while later. The two concrete graves now seen on the street were, before the building was torn down, in a corner of the ritual hall behind two windows. Their coffins had tilted to one side, the flooring of the ritual hall had collapsed, and part of it had been torn up. Source: Üsküdar Through the Centuries, Mehmet Nermi Haskan.
