Editor's Note
The Antipa Mansion, on Ferit Tek Street at Moda Point, was built in the early 20th century by architect Constantin P. Pappa for the Greek physician Dr. Andrea Antipa. Although its construction date is unknown, it is thought to have been built sometime between 1906 and 1914. How long Dr. Antipa lived in this mansion is unknown; he lived permanently in Greece and died there. During the First World War a soldier named Mehmet Ali Paşa stayed in the mansion as a tenant. He took his own life there for a family reason. The mansion was later bought by Ferit Tek, who served as ambassador to Tokyo.
