Editor's Note
The mosque was the Şabanî Lodge, whose ceremony day was Thursday. Walking up Balcılar Yokuşu Street, it stands on the left side, midway along Nalçacı Hasan Street. This district was formerly known as İcadiye. The founder of the lodge was Nalçacı Şeyh Halil Efendi. The Hadîka records that he was a deputy of the saint named Abdülvahhab Ümmî (d. 1004/1595), who lived in Antalya. However, in Scroll No. 122 in the Hüdâyî collection of the Selim Ağa Library in Üsküdar, his sheikh is recorded as Armağan Ramazan Efendi.
