Editor's Note
This open tomb lies behind and to the left of the Karacaahmet Tomb on Gündoğumu Avenue. Just in front of it is the cenotaph of the Companion Abu'd-Dürda (Derda). (See that entry.) The tomb consists of a dome resting on six granite columns and six arches of thin brick. The dome sits on a hexagonal drum. There is no iron grille or door between the columns, and no inscription survives. It was restored by the Foundations Administration in 1972. Although popularly famous as the tomb of Karacaahmet Sultan's horse, this tradition is not true.
