Editor's Note
The waterside mansion (yalı) on Paşalimanı Avenue was built on the grounds of the Sultan Kahyası Yalısı. It was the last yalı on the Anatolian side to be granted registration and protection status between 1970 and 1973; in the 1971 decision of the High Council for Immovable Antiquities and Monuments concerning the yalıs along the Bosphorus shoreline on the Anatolian side, it was registered under protection number 193 with the designation "Traditional House-Type Waterside Residence."
