On Kızlar Ağası Çıkmazı off Toptaşı Avenue (today Doktor Fahri Atabay Avenue), beside the lodge, which also had a tomb and neither of which survives today, stands the Halil Rüşdü Primary School. It is recorded that the lodge was founded by Abdülhay Efendi of Edirne, one of the sheikhs of the Hüdâyî Âsitânesi. In the 1199 (1784) list of lodges it appears as "the Abdülhay Efendi Lodge near the Coffin-Makers," while in the 1840 list of lodges its name is the Şeyh Gani Lodge.
