Founded in 1933 by three members of the Kargılı family, Vahdettin, Kenan, and Fuat Kargılı, heirs to a 150-year tradition of milk puddings and ice cream, the Kanaat Restaurant has been serving in Üsküdar since 1962. Offering traditional Ottoman stews, the restaurant is famous for its Uzbek lodge pilaf, Elbasan tava, white beans, and ice cream.
