Editor's Note
The building opposite the Çakırcı Hasan Paşa Mosque (today's Doğancılar Mosque) in Doğancılar was built in 1927 by architect Zühtü Başar as the headquarters of the Republican People's Party. It displays features of the First National Architecture period. Over time it served as the CHP district office, the Üsküdar District Governorate, and the Üsküdar People's House, and today, following the municipality's restoration, it has been handed over to the Üsküdar Mufti's Office.
