Editor's Note
Nothing is known of the tomb's original appearance. It now takes the form of a concrete room, with a large rock placed over the grave. Above the railing-less prayer window is a marble inscription dated 1000 (1591-92). Composed in two lines, the inscription reads: "May God illuminate the chamber of his heart, whoever prays for the soul of Şem'i."
