Editor's Note
It was built in 1793 by order of Selim III. Barracks and a shooting-range were added on the land that Abdülhamid I had granted in 1775 to the Grand Admiral Cezayirli Gazi Hasan Pasha for the training of naval levends. The surviving pavilion building serves as the administrative headquarters of the Turkish Football Federation.
