Editor's Note
Construction: AH 1323 / AD 1905. This fountain at the head of Küçük Bebek Avenue in Bebek formerly stood behind the police station and was moved here when the road was widened. The fountain is of marble. The mirror stone set between two fluted columns is plain and unadorned. Beneath its arch is the inscription, and above it a round medallion thought once to have held a tughra. Its basin is oval and scalloped around the edge.
