Located in Çengelköy, Üsküdar, on Kuleli Avenue along the shore road, the Ottoman Elephant Depots are stone buildings constructed in the early 1800s as quarters for elephants and later used as an arms depot. In the early 1900s they are known to have been used as a spirits (alcohol) factory.
