Editor's Note
It was built in 1901 in Art Nouveau, Baroque, and Rococo styles. It belonged to Hacı Ali Rıza Pasha, chief chamberlain of Abdülhamid II. Its ceilings and walls bear paintings and ornamentation. Ali Rıza Pasha also served in the last Ottoman cabinet, holding the posts of Minister of Public Works and Minister of the Interior. A mosque named after him stands in the Rami district. He died in 1932 at his home in Erenköy.
