Editor's Note
The construction date of the Beşiktaş Bath and who built it are unknown. It is thought to be one of the three baths Evliya Çelebi mentions in Beşiktaş in his work, and in his classification the Beşiktaş Bath is suited to the innocent. Some pieces of the Sinan Pasha Bath built by Mimar Sinan - including door jambs - were moved to this bath after it was demolished during road works in the 1950s.
