This fountain is listed as "Şehremaneti Fountain I" under number 394 in Volume 3 of the Compendium of Istanbul's Historic Fountains. In Affan Egemen's work "The Fountains and Sebils of Istanbul (1,165 Fountains and Sebils with Their Images and Inscriptions)," under the heading number 621 "Kayışdağı Water Fountain (1930)," it is noted that there are numerous Kayışdağı Water Fountains around Kadıköy, but no photograph of this particular fountain is included.
