It is located on the Küçüksu-Ümraniye road, between Hekimbaşı Çiftlik Avenue and Okul Avenue. It was commissioned by Chief Physician Küçük Hayrullah Efendi (1817-1866) and built by the architect Sarkis Balyan. The lodge was built as the residence of a large farm, on the rise between the Balıklı Stream and the Hekimbaşı Stream. Right behind it stand the farm buildings around a central courtyard. The Renaissance-style hunting lodge has an architecture unusual for Istanbul. With a total construction area of 1,200 square metres, the building consists of two sections of 2 to 3 storeys and a 4-storey stair tower 20 metres high.
