Editor's Note
Opened in 1932 under the name Anadoluhisarı Special Education Primary School, the institution also housed the Anadoluhisarı Secondary School within its premises from 1962. Under a protocol signed in 1985 between the Sabancı Foundation and the Governorship of Istanbul, once the building's repair and necessary conversion work was completed, it was turned into a teachers' lodge for 49 years. It opened as a teachers' lodge in 1988.
