Editor's Note
Küçüksu Pavilion, formerly known as Göksu Pavilion, is a summer pavilion on the Bosphorus shore in the Küçüksu neighbourhood of the Beykoz district, on the Asian side of Istanbul, situated between the Göksu and Küçüksu streams. It was commissioned by Sultan Abdülmecid from the architect Nigoğos Balyan and completed in 1856. Rather than a permanent residence, it served as one of the sultans' excursion pavilions, used for short stays and rest during country outings and hunting.
